The author got a juicy observation on that. Starting a small business is a risk and if you are not playing your best marketing cards, you get lose no matter how expensive your business capital is.

Abbot also enumerated the five rudiments to successful campaign:

First - Preparation and Planning

In football, the main point of those athletes is to win. Winning is everything in any kind of sports. But winning can be preposterous when your disposition to win is not your priority, right?

Marketing a small business is always a cold war of business ideas and for your advantage, you need to understand your market plan, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors and properly utilize the technique that produce bigger sales.

Like what Abbot wrote, aggression plays a significant role in marketing and it is focused to taking appropriate actions before your competitors grab the bacon from you.

Third - Positioning

Football is a game where you roll the ball across the goal net to point. Same technique in marketing, one should find a gap to fill in. Make sure when you fill in the gaps, the services are not offered by any of your competitors.

Every business institute has empty spaces in between. These empty spaces will not be something of use unless you are going to charge it with extraordinary and leading-edge ideas that levels up your campaign to the next chapter of success.

Fourth - Play Calling
